Job Title Database Administrator/Developer
Job Duties
  • Install and configure the database using SQL 2005, SQL 2008, SQL and SQL 2012.
  • Maintain SQL Server environments ranging from Development, Test/QA, UAT and Production. Maintain the database changes from development, QA to production tested with an assessment of the impact and proper change management.
  • Develop and improve Microsoft Analysis Services cubes, create reports, schedule reports, develop DTS packages to extract, transform and load by using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Design and develop T-SQL procedures, query performance tunings and SSIS packages. Designing and Developing various Reports using Oracle 10g. 11g. Monitor SQL Server environments and databases for unusual errors and perform problem determination when necessary.
  • Design database security. Perform table normalization, optimization, backup/restore, and data import/export. Troubleshoot database design and development issues and create appropriate technical resolutions.
  • Setup high availability log shipping, replication, mirroring and clustering. Perform database backup recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Develop warehouse cubes using SSAS tool. Develop SSIS packages for loading data into the database tables, using different transformations. Work in: MS SQL Server 2008R2/2008, Oracle 10g, 11g, SQL Profiler, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint, T-SQL, Windows Server 2008R2/2008, Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
Salary $100,500/year
Location 200 Glastonbury Boulevard, Ste 304, Glastonbury, CT 06033 and various client sites throughout the United States,and must be willing to travel and / or relocate
